Three-star hotel Slavutich in Kiev is located on Dnieper left bank, on Rusanovsky island. Island Rusanovsky is formed by Dnieper branch and canel. The hotel building is located almost on the river bank, near to the bridge named after Paton. Its windows overlook the wonderful view of Kievo-Pecherskaya Lavra and Dnieper branching and canels also. Rusanovsky island is also name Kiev Venice for its picturesqueness.

At first the hotel was named Rusanovsky, by the name of islands where it was constructed, and then it was renamed into Slavutich, in honor of Dnieper old. The building of hotel Slavutich was erected according to the individual project. As a result, in 1972 on Dnepr left bank the high light building in the form of an opened book appeared.
